Our client, a leader in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial, technical, and medical gas systems, 
is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Project Manager to join their dynamic team. 
This role supports the Operations Manager in overseeing multiple projects and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Operations Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising installation, commissioning, and maintenance projects across multiple sites.
  • Oversee workshop and field operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards (SANS, OHSA, and relevant gas codes).
  • Manage project schedules, resource allocation, and materials procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks, ensuring accurate documentation of all installation and maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
  • Carry out physical installations on smaller projects when required.
  • Perform additional duties relevant to the role as and when required.


Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations or project management within the LPG or compressed gas installation industry (commercial or industrial).
  • Proven technical knowledge of LPG storage, piping, vaporizers, pressure control systems, and related equipment.
  • Experience managing installation teams, contractors, and multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites
