About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Administrator to join our team at Kalagadi Mine on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and managing maintenance activities, ensuring that all assets are effectively maintained, recorded, and compliant with company and client standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
  • Post-Matric qualification in Business Administration or a relevant field(preferred)
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in a maintenance or administrative support role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all enquiries regarding repairs, providing assistance and ensuring effective response to maintenance requests.
  • Ensure all assets are efficiently maintained to minimize downtime.
  • Record and barcode all assets in the asset register.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a scheduled maintenance register for all site assets (trucks, trailers, LVDs, containers, equipment, etc.).
  • Plan and monitor all routine and scheduled maintenance, ensuring no overdue services.
  • Track and manage maintenance expenditure, ensuring alignment with budget.
  • Oversee the invoice and purchase order process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate and manage all breakdowns with urgency and follow-up.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance and breakdown records for all assets.
  • Follow up on missing assets to ensure full accountability.
  • Prepare and compile ad hoc reports for management as required.
  • Order stock, tools, and materials, liaising with suppliers to ensure quick turnaround.
  • Ensure all supplier deliveries meet contractual requirements for price, quality, and compliance.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory register for all site assets.
  • Ensure all BMG assets remain compliantwith:
    • Relevant regulations and safety standards
    • Client specifications
    • BML requirements
  • Comply with all company policiessafety procedures, and industry regulations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
